CIVIQ Smartscapes marked it’s one-year anniversary by sponsoring and exhibiting at Smart Cities Week 2016 in Washington DC this week.

The spin-out of CIVIQ as a stand-alone business from Comark Corporation and the launch of the CIVIQ Smartscapes brand was announced at the inaugural Smart Cities Week conference a year ago.

This year’s participation was significant in part due to the display of two of CIVIQ’s Smartscape solutions at the show – the TravelStation interactive wayfinding solution deployed throughout the NYC subway system, and the LinkNYC communications hub currently being rolled-out across all five boroughs of New York creating the largest, fastest free wi-fi and citizen engagement network in the world.

In addition to exhibiting, Brad Gleeson, Chief Commercial Officer for CIVIQ presented at the conference on the topic of “Smartscaping Cities: How Intelligent Urban Infrastructure networks will enable the benefits of Smart Cities”
