In April 2015, ATEX testing was completed on the Nematron branded iPC-Series and M-Series products which are assembled in the ISO9001 certified manufacturing facility in Milford, Massachusetts. These units bear the Ex mark and are certified for use in areas requiring ATEX Zone 2 and 22 compliance on all products.

“Once IECEx certification is obtained, Comark will have a robust selection of industrial automation panel computers, displays and nodes to choose from that carry multiple compliance approvals,” states Ralph Damato, VP of Product Management. “Adding IECEx certification to our ATEX Approved products greatly improves the global marketability of our certified industrial automation products.”

The objective of the IECEx System is to facilitate international trade in equipment and services for use in explosive atmospheres, while maintaining the required level of safety; reduced testing and certification costs to manufacturer; reduced time to market; and international confidence in the product assessment process.
